| About the Photographer .
. . Peter Slade has lived in the village since 1990 and is a Quantity Surveyor with an international company of Consulting Engineers. He is a member of the Royal Photographic Society and was awarded his Associateship for a portfolio of Ballet and Contemporary Dance photographs, in which he specialised whilst living in Wales. The photographs in this exhibition are in the photographer’s preferred style of ‘environmental’ or ‘location’ portraiture. This style of portraiture shows the subject in a more natural and relaxed setting than is usually achieved in the formal atmosphere of the photographic studio. In the context of this set of photographs, such a style is ideally suited to achieving a cohesive presentation of the theme.
